Our 18 full body photogrammetry systems are the industry standard for quality, speed and versatility, and they come in 3 configurations to suit any shoot scenario or location. 204 cameras and 32 lights can capture geometry, textures and look dev reference in just 1.2 seconds for your hero, crowd, costume or other 3D scanning requirements. Plus the rigs are built to look the part too.
DOROTHY
HEAD SCANNING.
“Dorothy” is the name for each of our head systems; custom built in-house for ultra high resolution photometric 3D head scanning and 4D performance capture. Perhaps our proudest creation to date, the Dorothys can capture super high resolution 3D scans; ultra detailed FACS expression sets; crisp 4D performances with normal, displacement and specular maps for each frame, and reproduce any real-world lighting scenario from HDRI reference. They also provide extensive look-dev reference as standard, giving everything you need to build a perfect photorealistic head asset. Dorothy is head-scan and shoulders above the rest, our employee of the month six years running.
LiDAR SCANNING.
We’re seasoned pros at capturing sets, locations and vehicles, and we’ve really done it all: tight interiors on sound stages, cave systems, deserts, rainforests, entire districts of cities, ancient monuments, motorbikes and aeroplanes. If our team can’t get it done, no one can.
AERIAL CAPTURE.
If your environment is a real monster, and a LiDAR scanner with a range topping out at more than a kilometre still isn’t enough, then it’s time to take to the skies. Whether it’s flying our drone over a castle or a racetrack, or strapping into a helicopter to capture a mountain range, we have some seriously spectacular captures under our belts. We can even seamlessly combine aerial photogrammetry with ground-based LiDAR, to achieve the highest quality data possible.
PROP SCANNING.
Props and costumes vary so much that even the most innocuous item can turn into a challenging subject for digital capture. We can combine data from our custom photogrammetry, photometric and swatch scanning rigs with laser arm scan data as needed to make sure we always get the best possible result, and we can supply data ready for VFX or 3D print pipelines.
